What Are You Busy With?

“Doing less meaningless work, so that you can focus on things of greater personal importance, is NOT laziness.  This is hard for most people to accept, because our culture tends to reward personal sacrifice instead of personal productivity.”

Tim Ferriss – The 4 Hour Work Week

Tim Ferriss’s words and the goldmine of information that is The 4 Hour Work week often ring in my ears.

So with the quote above in mind, try asking yourself these questions on a frequent and daily basis:

1) Is what I’m busy with:

a) important to me?

b) getting me closer to my goals?

2) If not, why am I doing it?

If you can’t find a good reason why, maybe you shouldn’t be doing it!

You can spend your time invested in things that inspire you/challenge you/excite you/get you closer to your goals or you can spend your time in the middle of a storm of (oftentimes meaningless) busyness.

The choice is yours to make.
